NYC studio of Helen Frankenthaler in Black & White

I fell in love with the beautiful Black & White pictures of American abstract painter and artist Helen Frankenthaler , who passed away last year at the age of 83. They are made in her NYC studio by Austrian photographer and artist Ernst Haas in 1969.

Interesting photos!
Old black and white photos have a special almost fragile atmosphere. They are somehow very real.

Fantastic series of photos, I have a video of her husband Robert Motherwell talking about the New York School painters. There are some group photos of her with Jackson Pollock, Sculptor David Smith and the others in that Group in the 1950's and early 60's
