Inspired by the love for small gatherings | Harvest & Company

No better day to show you some pictures of our beautiful gathering then this week as Dutch Trend forecaster Lidewei Edelkoord will presente her s/s 2015 trend forecast called 'Gathering' tomorrow. I wish I could attend one of her presentations. But luckely we can always pick up some of it via the magazines and people who love to share their experiences.

Gathering together with a small group of like minded creative people, sharing inspiration and beautiful food is what we did end of September over at Harvest & Company where we enjoyed Korean food by Yokiyo and sat on the SADL stool. All for the occasion of LMBRJK’s temporary SADL Stool Concept Store.
looking at the pictures again makes me think again about how special this dinner was Thanks for inviting me Jeroen & Denise X

Paper costumes by Wang Lei

Chinese Wang Lei’s affinity for costumes may derive from his time as a drama student. As an artist, he creates garments for actors more symbolic than real. He does so using not thread, wool or woven cloth but paper: toilet paper in some works, Bible pages in others.

The two imperial robes of Fabrication are knitted from a Chinese-English dictionary whose covers, pages neatly excised, form part of the display. Narrow strips of paper were dampened, then rolled and twisted into yarn.

I find it amazing what people can make from materials like paper and how about the Trash me lamp from &Tradition which is made out of paper pulp! Picture by Marjon Hoogervorst

A Parisian apartment

Freelance Photographer Anna Malmberg grew up in the north of Sweden and planned moving to Paris with her French boyfriend JonCha, who is a musician and made music for a play for a few months. But a few months suddenly became three years! Now they live with their 1½ year old son Sonny Lou at 42 square meters in the 13th district of Paris.

Our home is also our working space, Anna tells and I think it is since I started to work mostly from home that my interest for interior design grew bigger. Now I do some changements in our apartment every week probably, sometimes bigger, sometimes smaller things. Like painting a frame or change place on different things.

Her favorite pieces are the carved bull skull on the wall from Love Warriors  and a old basket from Bali that unfortunately is almost hidden with toys under our leopard chair, she says. When we one day have a bigger flat I will find a nicer place for it. Thanks for your nice email and sharing the pictures with me Anna ;)

Baby it's cold outside | A cozy Autumn night in

1|2|3|4  | Post in partnership with hush

I have been really busy lately with a million different things, work-wise, in private and on the blog. So when Hush asked me to have a look at their A/W '13 collection, I got carried away a bit looking at the warm pyjamas... They make me dream of long nights of sleep and cozy autumn nights with French movies, blankets, candles and chocolate.
YES! I kinda like this time of the year when it is getting colder outside and I can hide away in thick shawls, winter coats and a warm blanket on the couch by night. How about you?

Inspiration for your home | Organizing your hallway

With winter on it's way our hallways will soon become the place again where all shoes, hats, thick coats and other stuff will end up first. So time to think about how to organize and maybe get some new ideas for your hallway.

The reason why I am showing the picture above are the knobs on the wall! Some years ago, when redecorating my own hall, I found out that the best way to organize is to just think of what 'irritates' you most and find the logical solution for it.

So if bags are laying on the floor.. Just simply add some knobs and hang them on the wall. Don't you like your shoes laying around, find a solution to store them away. Sounds easy but believe me it works!
Here are some more organizing examples that I found that might be useful to you when redecorating or organizing.

HISTOR 101 Karakters | Painting at Piet Hein Eek

Today I spent all day at the workshop of Piet Hein Eek in Eindhoven, where all winners came together with Histor specialists to paint their 101 Karakters cupboard. With an opening word and a personal tour through his shop, later that day, Piet Hein Eek started the day.

It was great to see all cupboards that were already painted by bloggers, stylist and magazines and meeting some of you who sent in their mood boards that I showed on the blog. There were inspiring talks about the use of color at home and a trend forecast for the next two years! But most of all there were so many inspiring people all with different and great ideas, the two above were my favorites!

HISTOR 101 karakters | My little black cupboard

This last weekend I finished working on my Piet Hein Eek cupboard. My main inspiration was a black box with a little leather handle, yes! inspiration can really be found in everything! Black being my favorite color, I used black Histor perfect finish on the outside. And still being in love with the combination of black and copper, I added a copper touch to the legs and stamped some favorite lyrics on one of the doors. On the inside I used two different greys | tin & cyber | together the give a nice almost silver shiny look.

A Raw industrial apartment in Sweden

While looking around on Pinterest I noticed this amazing picture of an apartment with a raw industrial style and I had to find out more! This is exactly the style that I love next to the clean contemporary and white Swedish apartments and style I show a lot on my blog.

Oh joy when I found out the designer of the apartment is one of my favorite Swedish architects and interior designers, Johan Israelson. Two years ago I showed one of his other apartments here |A Punkrock interior with a decadent attitude| Where he also used a combination of, even more, concrete, black, metal and industrial furniture. How do you like his work?
