Minimalism by Fleur Molenaar | #DDW14 #1

This week Eindhoven is once more the capital of Dutch Design Week. DDW is the platform for Dutch design and with over 400 events divided over 80 locations, the largest design event in the Netherlands. It is impossible to see everything in the few hours I was in town, so on the blog some of my personal highlights and impressions.

From Stone age to desk | ‘Minimalism’ by Fleur Molenaar, part of ‘Hier is Utrecht’ (A collective of designers who all studied at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht) exposition at ‘Design perron’ was one of the designers I really loved. Not only did I liked the used materials, all displayed objects communicated a sense of calmness and serenity.

Design Perron is a new design district, close to the Station and an initiative by Meike van Schijndel (Bathroom Mania), Martin Damen (Opvallers), Jasper van Grootel (JSPR) and Alex Groot Jebbink (a-LEX) who I previously covered in my Salone del mobile  Pinterest album and had an exhibition at the Fuori Mercato in Milan earlier this year.
