Second Skin collection | Dutch design by July Adrichem

Second Skin is the beautiful new collection by Dutch product stylist July Adrichem. Graduating in 2012 as an Interior Stylist at the Artemis Academy she started working at Piet Boon® where she worked for two years, creating several styling products used for national and international projects. She worked on new prognoses and created themes for mood books and colour palettes to apply in styling projects.

Her graphic design background enables her to have an eye for graphic details and organic shapes in the creation of new products. Nowadays, July works as a freelance stylist while setting up exciting new product lines, such as her Second Skin Collection. Do you like it as much as I do?

This Second Skin Abstract Charcoal Bowl from the Second Skin collection has a beautiful and powdery texture and it's easy to combine with the plates, cups and bowls from the collection.  There are different patterns and colours from white and warm grayish aubergine to black. Up to now, the collection is available in seven colours. Second Skin creations can be used as decoration by themselves or as a container for dry products.

Second Skin Collection products are designed with a plaster-cotton paste. After a shape has been determined, all products are carefully treated with a protective coating on the inside and outside, to prevent moist and dust damage. Colour is added during this coating phase. Due to the nature of handmade products, some imperfection may occur. This is a part of the uniqueness of this item.

Very beautiful....I love to see the makers hand/finger prints on the vessels! Just lovely.

Dutch design is wonderful! And of course, I adore Moooi!!! Have a little of it.....but would like a little more I think. Maybe another 'extension thingy' for my extension chair! Such fun...and practical!
