A cliff top home in neutral colours in Australia | work of Tracey Deep

I am pretty much impressed by the work of several Australian designers I came across recently, such as the work of Hare + Klein who is responsible for this project. It were the wall sculptures created by Tracey Deep that caught my eye on their blog. Inspired by the material itself as a starting point Tracey creates sculpture works made out of found objects with different shapes, textures and patterns that have longevity and function as beautiful wall decoration.

A Sidney home in Black and White by Pamela Makin

I came across another beautiful interior by one of my favourite designers Pamela Makin. Pamela is a real queen of black and white and you will almost never find another colour in the homes she designs. Once you got the know her work you will recognize it immediately as it is full of contrasts, both in palette and texture, she perfectly combines old and contemporary items and always adds just the right amount rough and soft.

The homeowners off this renovated cottage in Sidney walked into Pamela's store to find some inspiration for their home and were sold the minute they walked in and asked Pamela to redecorate their whole home. Pamela painted the home throughout including the floors in white and walls in either white or black and the garden was redone by Peter Fudge gardens to match the new interior.

Some of the old furniture was painted to match and Pamela added a contemporary floor lamps and a streamlined sofa to add a contrast between old and new. With mirrors she made the place look bigger and by adding tribal artworks and elements she added a soft touch.

A masculine 3d loft designed by Tharik Mohammed

Indian based 3d designer Tharik Mohammed, currently working in Singapore used Black, gray, wood, and a little white to design this masculine 3d apartment, I love the style of the apartment and the North European interior choices he made, he wouldn't be a bad interior designer at all don't you think!

His goal though is to make amazing pieces of 3d digital art, starting to draw when he was a kid he is mainly focused on the quality of his work and likes to spend time with modelling, painting textures and setting lights in his scene. Pretty amazing don't you think.

Wanderlust | Travellers essentials list #2

Only a few more weeks and many of us will be on a long Summer break, beside spending some hopefully sunny days at home during my summer break I also have some places in mind that I would love to visit. I love travelling and thought it was a good moment to show you some of my latest finds that will make live on the road a lot easier.

First of all the amazing laptop bag by an all time favourite brand of mine Moleskin, I always use their agenda's and can't stop buying their little black books for all kind of projects and lists. I discovered the bag at Milan airport when flying back to Amsterdam, and I am so saving up for it as it is perfect for traveling with a laptop and smaller then the bag from Finnish Lumi which is more for storing more things for work.

In a former travel wish list post Essentials wish list HOPE X RIMOWA and This is Ground I showed the Midori travellers notebook and when buying some refills I got myself the mini version which is amazing and really easy. I have my paspoort in it and can easily slip my boarding passes under the elastic, I use a plastic zipper insert for money and cards and another one for business cards. I think it is my best buy in ages, I love it a lot, use it almost every day and it fits my smallest bag.
Lampi by Finnish Insjö bagINbag is a super Nano Wallet and perfect when I just want to bring some bank cards, and it has enough space to tuck away my keys in the middle zip pocket. Being really small it perfectly fits my jeans pocket it is another new favourite. This is the smallest of their assortment and there are many more colourful and larger versions available.

Insjö bagINbag's are ideal for organising your everyday items so you can find your phone instantly when it rings and grab your keys easily from the key pocket and when you change bags you just take the bagINbag out and transfer it to your next bag ensuring you take everything with you!

Especially for the holiday season Insjo offer a 10 % discount for all Vosgesparis readers, Use the code: DESV16 on the checkout page at the Insjo website
Valid from: 25.7.2016-10.9.2016

Something I always pack when going to a sunny destination is an Hammam towel I have lots of them in white and a blue stonewashed one from Hammam 34, for me blue is the ultimate Summer colour. I love taking them to the beach because they are really light and do not take up a lot of space in your bag and suitcase.

Last but not least if you love travelling as much as fellow blogger Anne and I do, and want to learn all the inns and outs, then Wanderlust is your travel style guide As a professional travel blogger Anne de Buck travels around the world in search of the best hotspots and hidden gems and her book offers lots of tips to travel around the world in style... let's start packing!

IKEA X HAY | Tom Dixon and the new SÄLLSKAP collection

Lots of IKEA news these days! last week IKEA announced new collaborations with Tom Dixon and HAY, I really like the collaborations with different designers and brands, making everything more unpredictable. I also discovered some pictures of the earlier announced somewhat rustic looking SÄLLSKAP collection, that will be in stores by October this year, shown in the first two pictures.

Especially the HAY for IKEA collection looks really promising and comprises furniture, lighting, accessories and textile designs and an all new IKEA bag that will replace the iconic blue one. According to my friend Allan of Bungalow5 who got a sneak peek the new collection will include around 50! new pieces, including chairs, tables, mirrors and sofas to hit the stores end of 2017.

Danish design | Mater

Mater is a Danish design brand, founded by Henrik Marstrand in 2006, I first came across the brand when I saw the round coffee table in the beautiful home I posted some time ago |A minimalistic and relaxing home in Copenhagen| The coffee tables in the picture below are designed by Indian designer Ayush Kasliwal while the bar stools by the Space Copenhagen design duo for Mater.

The table is available in different sizes and made out of mango wood with a natural or black finish, the legs are made of milled hollow steel rods and can be detached for transportation. Next to the tables the Mater collection consists of sideboards, mirrors, lamps, chairs and bar stools that can be found in many restaurants around the world, from the Rijksmuseum in my hometown Amsterdam to restaurants in New York and hotels in Istanbul and Mexico.
