TEXTILE No.collection by Karin Carlander | w/ Style

For every photoshoot we do I love to find beautiful props or get in touch with a designer or brand I got to know during my travels. For bulthaup we recently got to style and photograph one of the b Solitaires, have a look here if you missed it bulthaup b Solitaire at home | w/ Style. We have chosen some raw ceramics from the Merci for Serax line, bamboo from my local store, and for the linen I got in touch with Karin Carlander

I fell in love with her work some time ago and it was so nice to meet her in person during 3 days of Design in Copenhagen. For our styling we got to work with a few items from the TEXTILE No.collection. Karin Carlander; “The name TEXTILE No. has roots in the system of numbers that are widely used to indicate the thickness of the yarn and the number of threads, crucial information for the weaver when planning a textile. Each No. represents a size and comes in a variety of designs. The design may change, but the No. stays the same.”

All the textiles in the collection are woven or crocheted of 100% European linen spun from flax naturally grown in France. Below some pictures made in Karin Carlander’s workspace just out of Copenhagen.
