Walking through the VT Wonen magalogue + WIN your copy here!
We know VT Wonen for their great magazine and you might remember the posts I made after visiting the woonbeurs where VT Wonen and other Dutch interior magazines each year build a home totally inspired by the style of their magazine. In case you missed it here are the links again: VT Wonen home - Industrial loft + Classic elements and An industrial-kitchen-and-white-bedroom
VT wonen also has a great range of products you can buy in several Dutch shops and webshops! To introduce the latest collection there is a magalogue (a catalog and a magazine in one) coming with the latest VT Wonen magazine
To photograph the magalogue the VT Wonen team furnished two complete apartments that are up for sale (De witte kaap) One for a family with kids that you see here in this post and one for a working couple. Today the apartments were open to the public and Paulina and I visited one of them today and made some pictures.
Have a look at the digital version of the Magalogue and start shopping. For one lucky reader I have a spare copy of this months VT Wonen and the Magalogue. Just leave a comment in this post if you would like to win it ;)
Styling of the VT Wonen Magalogue home by Cleo Schleuderman of VT Wonen. Pictures by Paulina Arcklin and Vosgesparis.... if you link please credit and mention the VT Wonen Magalogue

Salone del Mobile 2012 {Zona Tortona unplugged}
Vibrant and lively, shops, food, little corners, small streets and a mix of beautiful and funny people, wandering through the streets and kids playing with design. Here is my impression...

Industrial scoop .... Federico Angi - Tools {Brera District}
After the first day of the Salone in Milano, when we visited the Ventura Lambrata and in the afternoon had a walk in the sun at Zona Tortona. I was, despite the beautiful buildings and all the 'new' things I had seen, still seeking for that one thing. One thing different from all other and close to the raw and industrial feeling I love. And I think I found it and I love to show you my own industrial scoop here on the blog!
So... the second day we stepped into the world of wonders called Rossana Orlandi... an amazing space, an amazing lady {pictures coming soon} and finally some inspiration ... One thing that caught my eye were two little benches put in a corner in the corridor, next to the over the top with gold decorate toilets.... {making pictures can be difficult with people running around you but I more or less snapped some (not to clear) ones.
In the afternoon we went back to Brera to visit my friend Stefano Gaggero who was showing his work for Arcade in Via Palermo 1. We passed by a carpentry workshop where I spotted the same benches as that morning.... we had a little chat with Federico Angi the maker of these, with traditional iron making, fabricated stools called Tools. Produced during a workshop by Italian company Sampietro 1927, more about this here.
Federico told us he was showing his work in the shop window of this workshop in the hope it would be picked up by international design galleries. At the moment the stools are fabricated in small series and sold at Rosanna Orlandi.

Fuorisalone Milano 2012 {Ventura Lambrate}
Last week I was in Milano for 6 days to visit the city and the Salone e Mobile... Despite the rainy weather it was a great experience to wander around a city full off exhibitions, designers, journalists and other design addicts. And of course for me it was also a bit of coming home being in Italy again.
It was great to have some lovely and like minded company like Anouk and other friends around to share all the impressions with. As it is a design overkill for sure! During the few hours of sun we even could sit in our t-shirts and have lunch on some terrace. And of course we also visited some really cool places. I have made so many pictures that I will show them over some different posts in the next couple of days.
Staying in a converted porcelain factory right in the middle of Lambrate we were only a few bus stops away from the Venture Lambrate where lots of international designers, maybe even more Dutch designers, were situated. Here is an impression from a very quiet first morning.
