A South African Church Loft

Before becoming a home to an Italian businessman and his wife this white loft, in Cape Town was a church [build in 1740]. Later on it was used as a woodworking shop, a dance studio and an atelier to a photographer. They restored most of the changes done by the previous owners. I love the raw look of the original wooden floor, they found it hidden under several layers of paint, in combination with the white walls and kitchen.

I always feel like throwing out useless things from my home if I see these kind of pictures. Although my place is far from cluttered to be honest, but my kitchen counter top could use some extra attention, being filled with oil bottles, salts, black bowls (because they look pretty) and coffee makers 😉 What does it do to you seeing homes like this?
