Vipp Chimney House

I have been waiting some time for the reveal of the third room of the 'Vipp Hotel'. You might remember my blogpost about the first ánd second room of the brands hotel concept. Last year Wen and myself kicked off our collaboration as w/ Style with a stay at both the Loft in Copenhagen and The Shelter in Sweden. Still thinking back a lot of the Shelter which was one of my most treasured experiences ever. At both locations I got the opportunity to test the Vipp kitchen, at the Chimney House guest can also experience the brand’s new furniture collection in a home-away-from-home.

New Works Showroom Copenhagen

Visiting the New Works Showroom in Copenhagen, designed in collaboration with Lotta Agaton, was definitely one of the highlights of 3 days of Design for me. Beautiful greys in warm hues next to natural and earthy materials and colours. A perfect backdrop to the many pieces I could easily see in my own home. More about the design of the showroom can be found here

Soft Minimalism | Masterplan 2.0

Soft minimalism is probably the mood and term that best fit my masterplan 2.0 as I love to call the changes at home I am realizing at the moment. It looks like it is taking ages before I can show you some actual results and believe me, I wish it would have been done by now. But I am patient, some things took really long to deliver and actually need some more work before they can properly been installed. It actually gives me time to think a bit longer and experience the empty space before redecorating.

Travelling to Transylvania with Tisca rugs

Travelling is something I really enjoy  and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to travel to different destinations thanks to my blog and you, my readers! My latest collaboration brought me to the heart of Transylvania, yes the country of Dracula, but more about him later. Despite being a fan of Vampire stories, Transylvania never had been on my radar, until I met the team behind Tisca two years ago.

Rue Verte | High end lifestyle store in Copenhagen

Somehow I never made the connection of the Rue Verte I knew from online and the brick store in Copenhagen, but this last time while visiting Copenhagen I had the pleasure to visit the Rue Verte store. Can you believe I instantly felt at home after spotting the huge black sofa by Vincenzo de Cotiis,  black is still favourite and I loved the dark colours, beautiful fabrics and outstanding decorative pieces.

Earth tones and soft minimalism | Inspiration for my home

Belgian designers are definitely on top of my inspiration list while working on my own home, their soft minimal approach in interior design really appeal to me. EST magazine recently showed us Project VV by Belgian designer Pieter Vanrenterghem, and this home is a great example in soft Minimalism.

DAWN exhibition at Nomad Workspace | 3 days of design

Trying to visit every exhibition or showroom at 3 days of design is as impossible as seeing every exhibition during Milan design week. Some brands and exhibitions are located a bit further then other and unfortunately I had to skip some. The more happy I was I took the time to visit Nomad workspace first. DAWN was an exhibition offering a platform for emerging artists and designers as well as established brands showing the diversity of design, talents, and trends.

Natural Cutting boards by bulthaup | w/ Style shoot

With small renovations and some other changes at home going on for some weeks now, cooking an extensive meal is not really on my agenda. I allow myself going out for sushi maybe a bit to often at the moment but overall I still fix a healthy meal almost everyday. Vegetables are still favourite here at home, I mix lots of vegetables when making asian dishes, and I love preparing eggplants in different variations, from a Japanese Miso eggplant to my all time favourite parmigiana.

The Audo | Menu's new creative space in Copenhagen

I can't really describe the beauty of the The Audo and the real experience was a thousand times better than the pictures can tell! Definitely the highlight and talk of town off 3 days of design if you ask me. The Audo is Menu's new headquarters, along with 10 guest suites.

Karimoku Case Study at Kinfolk

For the third year in a row I visited Copenhagen's 3 days of Design last month and I think it was the best version till now. Only a few weeks after Milan Design week it was a pleasure to see new Scandinavian collections and brand launches. Real highlights were the new spaces by both Frama and Menu and I have a few other favourites I will try to show more off soon. First though the launch of contemporary lifestyle brand Karimoku Case Study with an exhibition at the Kinfolk Gallery.
