vosgesparis is an award-winning interior design blog, where soft minimalism meets the imperfect. Appreciated for finding the gems in design and discovering new designers and craftsmen, the blog is visited by readers from all over the world and best known for its personal style and distinctive take on design, spaces and products.

One of the first interior design bloggers in the Netherlands, Desiree founded the blog in 2007 and gives vosgesparis its personal twist, by not just covering design world news, but also bringing her own styling ideas to the table. Showing us her own home, personal style, styling projects, travel-stories and decorating ideas: with minimal colour and maximum style.

Today articles are posted a few times a week, reaching thousands of readers every month as well as an engaged community of followers on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and over 9 million monthly viewers on Pinterests where images link directly to the blog.

vosgesparis reflects my love for soft minimalism, objects and sculptural design, ceramics and beautiful spaces. I strongly believe that you should only surround yourself with the things you really love, and things that reflect your personality: something you will see in my home and on my blog. Although many think there is a team behind vosgesparis, I have been running the blog and its social media by myself, ever since the early days.

Fascinated by interior design and creating stills, I attended a school for art direction, and studied display styling and advertising drawing. With small children at home I eventually started working as a social worker. My work involves bringing together families and their young children of all cultures, ages and social backgrounds in Amsterdam. I still work here part-time, and I enjoy seeing this other side of life, next to my passion for interior design.

To keep the blog running you will occasionally see sponsored content and collaborations on the blog. These articles are always written by me personally and selected to be a fit for my readers.

Interested to see your brand covered on the vosgesparis blog, Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest boards? Or would you like to work with me personally on a project or a social media campaign? Next to vosgesparis I also work as a stylist and co-owner of photography, concept and styling agency w/ Style.

  • Feel free to email me for project enquiries and collaborations or any other question at

Over the last years I have been working with both Dutch and international leading brands, designers and Design Trade fairs and events through different and unique customised concepts both on-and offline, on my blog, social media and Pinterest or on location.

One of the most asked questions is what the name of my blog means...
'vosgesparis' was the nickname I used on Picasa (the precursor of Pinterest) and a discussion forum about interiors I was active on before the existence of social media like Facebook and Instagram or Pinterest and before discovering the world of blogging.

Just back from a few days in Paris, I had to choose a nickname and google adres to join Picasa and after many names, that were all taken, I made a combination of Paris and Place des Vosges a square in Paris that I really loved. I thought many times of changing it into a name that would make more sense or people could pronounce but never did as it is part of the story of the blog  ;) Thanks so much for all your support, Desiree
