Why do I visit fashion stores when I write about i Why do I visit fashion stores when I write about interiors? On every design week when in Milan or Paris, I love to visit a few stores that maybe at first glance are not that much within my niche. The clothes are of course beautifully made but what really attracts me is the interior.

Fashion stores often offer a different way of looking at space. The interiors can be more experimental, with unusual materials, furniture or small details that can easily translate to a home. I am always interested and curious about those ideas and the small details I often discover. During my recent trip to Paris for @parisdesignweek , I visited The Row for exactly that reason. @therow #pfw #pdw

A curated space where collected objects, vintage furniture and contemporary works unfolded as the intimate interior of an imaginary collector.

I have always loved when a home-like setting is created to display the various works; it feels more alive, and it aligns better with my personal taste and style when different pieces are a naturally combination much like how you might arrange them at home. While an object on a pedestal can be stunning, exhibitions like this offer more inspiration. I saw various people posting about it on Instagram with comments like “I could live here.” @asar___studio
