Nærvær by Norm Architects | A new restaurant in Copenhagen

This month I am writing pretty much about Copenhagen, and before telling you some more of my 3 days of design treasures, I thought to show you the latest architectural project by Norm Architects, situated in Christianshavn, Copenhagen.

I loved this part of town, my hotel was also at this side of the canal from where you have a beautiful view on Copenhagen’s old city centre. Nærvær means “Presence”,  and being in the moment, enjoying affordable wines, getting a taste from the gourmet restaurant and the french kitchen in a casual atmosphere with small spaces and niches

For the interior Norm architects choose an array of stone, wood and metal, the materials are all natural and have deliberately been altered in order to create dark and industrial surfaces that matches the mood of the place and naturally compliments the raw concrete walls and industrial framework of the space. This is the kind of space I really love and that comes close to the kind of atmosphere I am aiming for at home where I have dark floors and concrete walls.

Seems like a cozy place for a meetup and gathering with friends next time I travel to Copenhagen and it won’t take this long this time! Join me tomorrow for a new story from 3 days of design, and meanwhile check out some earlier posts by following this link 3 days of design
