Marie Louise from the US blog Cottage Industries from whom I have ‘stolen’ the beautiful George Eliot quote on the bottem of my blog from, tagged me the other day and asked me to answer some questions, so here we go …
1) What was I doing 10 years ago?
1998! the year I was practising a lot with my brand new camera, photographing random backstage and concert pictures of my favorite bands and selling my pictures at eBay.
2) What are 5 things on my to-do list for today (not in any particular order):
It’ Saturday so….
*I’ll first sleep a few hours more then usuall.
*Do some shopping for the weekend, on the market, most of the time a lot of garlic, olives, eggplants, various mushrooms and some more greens. Today I will also go to Chinatown to get some orietal stuff for the Japanese dinner I am planning for tonight.
*Then it is time to go to my favorite saturday spot the ‘ Noordermarkt’ filled with gorgeus antique stalls, but also fresh bread, cheese, good oils and plants to make my garden beautiful. I’ll have a coffee and a bit of sun.on the terras overthere till it is time to go home and prepare dinner.
*We will eat some Udon Noodles with mushrooms and sugar snaps… and I will make some ‘yasai gyoza’ from my Wagamama cookbook.
3) Snacks I enjoy:
a nice sandwich with mozarella and pesto
lots of strong coffee (okay it’s not a snack but I just love it…. a lot!) ….and I admit it, I sometimes love to dipp my croissant in it.. my friends at work think it is disgusting, I just tell them it’s the french way to enjoy live!
oh yeah and I love yoghurt with muesli and bananas
4) Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
I would give a large amount to my kids so they will never have to struggle with money. Certainly I would travel more and get a house cleaner. And yes I would quit my job as I think 30 years of work is enough, isn’t it? Ohhh and I would buy a house at some beach because I really love the sea.
5) Places I have lived:
I have always lived in Amsterdam, born at the very edge of town. I could see the dunes at 26 kilometers distance from my little room under the roof. I just really love my city and my heart jumps if I come back from a holiday and I see the blue sign saying ‘Amsterdam’ I did went out of town every summer for a week or six. When I was small I spend every summer in French and later on in Italy.
6) Peeps I wanna know more about: Ohh that’ll be Mira from Belle Blanc she is one of the very little German bloggers I know and I just read in her latest post that she lives in the German Provence.. .so I am very intriged to get to know more about her. Mira feel free to play the game and only play it if you really want to. alright that was it …..
“The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. (Okay, so Marie Louise put them at the end and I think it is a good choice) Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 1-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.”
