Want to know more about me ? 👀 For those new here. I am Desiree, the woman behind ‘vosgesparis’

Born and raised in Amsterdam and mother of two children who are half Sardinian. I’ve always felt like I grew up in 2 cultures, each with their own customs. I worked as a social worker for a long time next to the blog, but now I focus full-time on my website, the blog & curating beautiful things for you.

In 2007 I started the blog ‘vosgesparis’ long before the social media and Pinterest era and mainly to connect with other interior enthusiasts, showing what inspired me and so becoming one of the first interior design bloggers in the Netherlands. In 2013 my blog really took of, I won the @vtwonen blogger award and had my first invite as a blogger to New York! Recently I was named as the #1 european design blogger 🙏

The name ‘vosgesparis’ was my nickname on an interior discussion forum and I actually just adopted it not knowing that after 16 years I would still have the blog including the, for most of you, unpronounceable name.

It is hard work to maintain the blog, but I have also gotten a lot in return: Great contacts, friends for life and opportunities to travel and work with brands and interior fairs. I am grateful to each of you who made this possible! And my dear friend Agata of @vistylestudio for the picture

With 5 months to go Alcova revealed its new locati With 5 months to go Alcova revealed its new locations for 2026! From April 20–26, 2026, Alcova returns for its eleventh edition, unfolding across two extraordinary sites that each, in their own way, capture the essence of Milan’s urban identity.

If you visited Alcova before you might remember one of the two locations from earlier Alcova exhibitions in 2021 and 2022. I personally couldn’t be happier to see Alcova return to ‘The Baggio Military Hospital’

I am also really curious to see the new location for this year: Villa Pestarini. Opening for the first time to the public The villa from 1938-1939 is designed by Franco Albini, an influential Italian architect and designer, widely regarded as one of the key figures of Italian rationalism.

Meticulously preserved over the decades by owners devoted to its legacy, the house remains an almost miraculous testimony to Albini’s unique balance of discipline and poetry

New blog online 👉 Visiting the studio of Giuliano New blog online 👉 Visiting the studio of Giuliano Andrea in the Chiaia quarter in Naples was a great opportunity to see more of the Neapolitan architecture hidden behind the large wooden entry door at Via Monte di Dio.

I really love my work and how even though travelling often by myself, I never really feel alone as I always come across people I have met before at press trips or interior fairs and make new friends, so at Edit Napoli.

I am grateful to have been able to visit all these fantastic places, and loved to see so many new and old familiar faces at the studio that evening.

Giuliano Andrea’s distinctive style emerges from his ability to combine the aesthetic legacy of the past with a more contemporary approach, which he adapts with creative verve to the needs of his clients and his own studio. A great vibe in a beautiful space, where I really fell in love with the stained glass windows surrounding the courtyard.

Seeing his Unseen visions project earlier that day at Certosa di San Martino, was not the first time I came across his work, as part of Milan Design Week 2023, he presented the Elle Decor Italia exhibition and installation at Palazzo Bovara. One of my  highlights from that year’s Salone.
