Design Biennale Rotterdam is a new event showcasin

Design Biennale Rotterdam is a new event showcasing local and international designers across cultural institutions and unique venues. Last week I visited the event together with Iris @cmoreinteriorconcept , a dear friend and my partner in crime during Milan design week.

It was good to catch up again for this very first edition of Design Biennale Rotterdam. Unfamiliar with most parts of Rotterdam, we decided to visit the Main Locations and then see if there was still time left for the Partner venues. I was really looking forward to it but it took us some time to get into it, and maybe that even didn’t work out completely.

Maybe it was just us and probably we missed a lot and there was more to see but we kind off dropped out changed our plan of visiting the Main venues, and jumped in a taxi to visit partner venue DOEN @doen.do

“Fragments of Form” was the exhibition by Elle Decoration Netherlands, Monique van der Reijden in collaboration with and at the location of DOEN A beautiful space decorated with selected furniture pieces, decor objects, fragrances and Art.

Sometimes just one great location can make your day and this definitely was the one for us. Thanks for the warm welcome Studio Doen 🤍

Only a few weeks before travelling to Milan again

Only a few weeks before travelling to Milan again for Milan Design week. Always looking forward to visit the many exhibitions and especially Alcova, which is always one of the first places we visit. Not only does Alcova host many interesting designers but also gives you the opportunity to view the most unique destinations around Milan! Every time it is so magical and unexpected!

ONLINE 👉👉👉I have covered Alcova over the last few years from their first 2018 and 2019 editions at Via Populi to last years amazing villa’s in Varedo. Both on my website’ blog as at social media saved in Instagram highlights, as sometimes it was just to much to cover it all on the blog.

I digged in my picture archives to give you an impression of the first editions I joined and the latest after the pandemic gap and of course showing you the 2025 locations‼️
