1+1 | Stefano Gaggero for Pianca design

It has been a while since I wrote about the work of my friend Stefano Gaggero and I must admit that whenever we meet in Milan or Paris, we always seem to be in Paris at the same time, I prefer to have a stroll through town with him, rather than visiting the huge Salone del Mobile fair to see his latest work | Read some more about his background in this post from 2011 |

This last April when I was in Milan for design week it was no different… Walking around down town looking at a number of installations, and chatting away.

Walking through town with a Milan based designer who knows what is really going on is the best way to see the things that really matter! And as usual, we ended up on a terrace with some snacks and a glass of wine, talking about his work for Pianca, presented at this year’s Salone del Mobile

1+1
His latest work is called 1+1 and consists of a table and 3 different coffee tables. Every piece consists of 2 metal bases and 2 table tops in lacquered wood, giving you the opportunity to use them in different set-ups. For example, one small table behind the couch and a higher side table against the wall, or take the two coffee tables apart and turn them in to two nightstands! All the items can be mixed and matched. More information about the 1+1 can be found at Pianca
