The TriBeCa Penthouse at The Greenwich Hotel was created by Belgian designer Axel Vervoordt and Japanese architect Tatsuro Miki, in close collaboration with the hotel owners Robert De Niro and Ira Drukier. Inspired by the TriBeCa neighbourhoods industrial past fused with the ancient Japanese aesthetic of Wabi Sabi, which is all about rustic simplicity and the beauty of imperfection.
Sounds like the best of both worlds don’t you think. The TriBeCa Penthouse has been designed using lots of natural materials such as time worn timber, stone and steel and layers of linen to soften the rawness of the industrial building.
