Hope you enjoyed reading my last post about our trip to Malmö and as you might have read a trip to this Swedish town in South Sweden can be excellent combined with a few hours or a day in Copenhagen. The city is by far one of my favourites and I have a long list of places that I love, unfortunately it’s impossible to visit them all each time I am in town, especially when it’s only a few hours. This week I can add another must visit to my list as ‘New Works’ just opened their first Studio in historical Frederiksstaden with a workspace for the team and a showroom for clients and friends.
I wrote about their collection before: New Works | Objects of Copenhagen and have only seen their work online so far. New Works’ collection and objects reference a history of fine craftsmanship and honest materials, whilst exposing sculptural forms that intersect art and design. The Kizu table lamp with its marble foot is on my wishlist from the moment I first saw it and l am curious to see the collection with my own eyes. Visit the New Works website to see the collection and more info.
