Villa Massilia at the island of Bali

By some mentioned as an undiscovered Casa Cook in the centre of Seminyak at the island of Bali. Villa Massilia was created by Hong Kong-based couple Alissa and Ben. They fell in love with the organic style of the calming interior decorating in Tulum. The natural materials and colours that inspired them during their travels we see back in the three private villas the couple transformed into a five-star retreat.

An open plan living and a private swimming pool

The design by Ben, who is from the UK and Alissa who has her roots in the US is an open plan living with dining and kitchen area with lots of light. Each villa has its own swimming pool and numerous bedrooms, all with king-sized beds and en suites.

They beautifully restored the original Balinese alang-alang (grass) roof that perfectly fits the organic wall and floor surfaces. Ceramics and objects from other Indonesian islands form a nice contrast with the chic black Italian taps and Edison lights that give the villa’s a luxury touch.
