The things I love in my home
Over the last few weeks we were in a semi lockdown again in the Netherlands, where all shops, bars, restaurants and musea and music venues were closed. If there is one thing most people love doing these moments it is decluttering their homes. And even I couldn’t help to stroll through cupboards and make some big decisions and throw things out, and this time for real!
Only surround yourself with what you really love
To be honest I can’t believe I am still looking at cupboards filled with cd collections, hundreds of concert pictures and numerous home decor accessories and extra bowls and stuff for when we have a dinner party even though the last really big family and friends gathering was years ago.
As you might know, I strongly believe you should only surround yourself with the things you really love and reflect your personality: Something you see in my home and on my blog. When making a Reals for my Instagram yesterday with items from my fairly new webshop. I realized that this certainly also applies to my shop.
The imperfection of natural materials x clean lines
Not only is every item in the store selected by myself, and therefore of my personal taste. All items really match each other and can be mixed together so well. I mixed the beautiful Japanese candles from my store with the black carbonized boxes. The tray is from the same material and the hand thrown espresso cups come from Iceland.
