Exploring the limits and properties of copper with Manu Bañó

Manu Bañó’s new collection explores the limits and properties of copper. It was produced in Santa Clara del Cobre, Michocán, Mexico. A town with a long goldsmith tradition, with artisans accustomed to making small copper objects, like vessels and pots.

Manu Bañó Co-founder of Ewe studio designed a collection of 3 pieces made by hand hammering a thin sheet of copper that, with the hammering acquires strengt and three-dimensionality. Pictured below chair OBJ-05, table OBJ-06 and lamp OBJ-03.
