Over the last years I regularly wrote about Dutch brands, and recently I teamed up with BRYCK. Their approach to indoor and outdoor lounging, combining style, comfort, and durability fits perfectly with my own aesthetics. From the very first time I discovered their collection, I was drawn to their minimalist design language and thoughtful use of materials. In my last article where I showed you their new collaboration with Label Vandeberg, have a look here to read: Label Vandenberg x BRYCK Outdoor lounge chair I also promised to show you their new linen look fabric!
BRYCK has introduced something new and quite special: ROUGHLY , a fabric that has the look and feel of linen, yet is strong enough to be used outdoors. If you love the natural texture of linen but always hesitated using it in spaces that require durability, I think ROUGHLY might just be what you’ve been waiting for!
Roughly a fabric that has the look and feel of linen
BRYCK founder Greta van der Veen always dreamed of using linen for her designs. “Linen as a furniture fabric always appealed to me,” she explains. “But it simply wasn’t suitable for outdoor use. The idea stuck with me, and now we’ve made it happen, ROUGHLY looks like linen, but is super strong exactly what I had in mind.”
An exclusive Limited Edition collection
To celebrate this innovation, BRYCK launched an exclusive Limited Edition collection featuring three of their signature models:The Chair, the Hocker, and the 2.5-seater Couch. All upholstered in ROUGHLY. The new fabric adds a subtle, earthy texture to these familiar pieces, suitable for both indoor and outdoor spaces. What I personally love about this release is how BRYCK continues to challenge conventional materials while staying true to their design roots. ROUGHLY doesn’t compromise on comfort or quality — it simply brings a fresh, tactile layer to an already strong collection.
The ROUGHLY Limited Edition is now available for viewing at the BRYCK showroom in Joure and can be ordered directly online at BRYCK but only while supplies last! I can’t wait to see how it will be styled in real homes and outdoor spaces this summer.
