Wiggle Bench by Studio Sam Klemick

Studio Sam Klemick is a Los Angeles–based design studio led by Sam Klemick, who creates furniture and objects by hand. With a background in fashion design and roots in Miami, she brings a refined and personal approach to woodworking. Her pieces often blend modern materials with reclaimed furniture and unused fabric stock, giving classic shapes a fresh, contemporary twist.

Following 15 years in fashion, she came to furniture, teaching herself to turn, carve, and sculpt. What began as an exploration of wood became a dialogue between disciplines and mediums. Textiles shaped her understanding of structure; woodworking shifted her sense of pliability. In her hands, rigid materials bend, smooth curves emerge, and boundaries dissolve.

Wiggle Bench

A desire for a slower, more intentional way of working guides her ‘made-to-order’ approach to production and minimal waste. Every piece is handmade. Sourcing is selective and informed by environmental care: salvaged wood from Los Angeles construction sites, deadstock and vintage textiles, and responsibly grown red oak, a naturally regenerating hardwood. Wiggle bench is a beautiful curved bench with thick seating and contrast piping, orb supports are crafted from reclaimed douglas fir.
