During Glue Amsterdam, earlier this year, I got to visited Dis Studio, the address for Italian design and Boffi – De Padova in Amsterdam. Here I got to meet Danijela from Studio Nuan and I immediately loved her work which was beautifully displayed at the upper floor of the store. Danijela Kastavarac is an abstract sculptural artist based in Amsterdam. Her work grew from a personal shift toward a slower, more intentional way of living, where creating by hand became a way to reconnect with rhythm and presence.
As a self-taught artist, she translates these quiet rhythms into minimal wall sculptures that are meant not just to be seen, but to bring a sense of calm and grounding into a space. Each piece is a reflection of her ongoing exploration of rhythm — the natural, unforced cadence that guides both her process and her life.

Caught in the Flow · Edition [XXI-XXXI]
When visiting Danijela at her Studio Nuan later that month we came up with the idea for a small series of collectibles for vosgesparis. ‘Caught in the Flow · Edition [XXI-XXXI]’ consists of 10 handcrafted, minimalist wall sculptures in deep black & red. Every piece is handcrafted and reflects the minimal look I love to share on vosgesparis.
They can be displayed on a wall and be collected individually or paired with another piece from the series for a harmonious sculptural set or used as part of a larger picture wall. I personally love the versatility of each piece because next to a wall object, each piece can also be used as an object on a shelf or in your table styling making a subtle, sculptural statement. I selected a few images from the series for this blogpost and showing also some of the images i took at Dis Studio.
The new series is now available through my webshop, have a look here: Ceramics & Objects

“I see my work as an offering — a gentle reminder that there is beauty in simplicity, meaning in stillness, and wisdom in following your own rhythm.”
