NLXL Launches Piet Hein Eek Timber Strips Wallpaper at DDW 2017

It’s seven years ago I had one of my first collaborations with NLXL when we did a give-away for the first collection in collaboration with Piet Hein Eek and I have being in touch with them ever since. They feel a bit like family and over the years I have seen them growing into a famous brand for original wallpaper collections in collaboration with different designers world wide!

I am pretty sure you remember some of the collections I showed in the past, like Addiction X Obsession in collaboration with Paola Navone and Daniel Rozensztroch, we celebrated the launch at Milan, and it was really special to join the pizza party at the home of my design hero. Other collaborations included a collection with Piet Boon and Merci

During DDW in Eindhoven NLXL will launch their latest collection, this time again in collaboration with Piet Hein Eek and we will celebrate at Dutch Design week! NLXL asked me come and celebrate and bring some fellow bloggers. A great coincidence as Holly Becker of Decor8 formed a Blog team for DDW because she felt the need to team up and celebrate our community of bloggers and be supportive to each other. We will meet up at DDW, and as we are working together on the details I thought it was a great idea to celebrate the new NLXL collection and party at Piet Hein Eek together. If you want to follow us on Instagram and our other social media, we are using the hashtag #BlogTeamDDW

With this collection NLXL is going back to its roots: an aesthetically strong collection of faux wood wallpapers. Timber stripes consist of seven different patterns inspired by travels to Japan, where timber is used in many ways, and on the idea that the wallpapers should provide an artificial alternative for a wooden wall.
