When in Paris for the September edition of Maison

When in Paris for the September edition of Maison & Objet @maisonetobjet I took some time to discover Paris Design week. I only knew PDW @parisdesignweek from a few years back when visiting Merci for drinks on Saturday nights. There is however a lot more to discover. And I loved it so much I will certainly take some more time to visit the different exhibitions, which also brought me to undiscovered new corners of the city.

A real favourite I found at @archik that for the occasion of PDW presented the work of Ronan and Konrad, architects and designers, founders of @corpus.studio . A selection of pieces from their bb collection featuring a range of metals with different finishes, all from artisanal foundry work. And for the occasion, exclusively, new custom-designed pieces were presented in a cozy setting.

They got carte blanche around metal, a material highlighted by the designers in their BB collection and the theme of the Revue N•5 by Archik launched on this occasion.

Autunno in Barbagia takes place from 7 September t

Autunno in Barbagia takes place from 7 September to 15 December and I finally got to visit the festival in the village I am happy to call my second home.

The festival is a journey through culture, traditions and food and wine specialities. The circuit involves 32 towns in Barbagia, Sardinia, which for years have been organizing with passion and dedication an experiential journey which sees not only the town as the protagonist but also its inhabitants, who open the doors of their homes, their courtyards, their past.

An opportunity to experience the habits and customs of an ancient people, following an itinerary dedicated to local cuisine, with its flavors and recipes, history with its historical-artistic heritage and craftsmanship.

The newly renovated Barchessa with large terrace offers a fresh perspective on bathroom design merging indoor and outdoor spaces.

When visiting the home of Frama founder Niels Strøyer Christophersen in 2017 I got to hear the story behind his kitchen born from elements originally found on the street and put together for the apartment

This week Frama introduced their Kitchen Modules in collaboration with historic kitchen and cabinetry makers, Kvänum. The very first FRAMA kitchen was built based on principles refined to their most essential. Celebrating pure function, the aim was to create a kitchen focusing on the essentials of cooking and being.

Collaboration with Kvänum now marks the next organic step in this design process — traditional craft meets FRAMA’s distinctly straightforward aesthetic. @framacph @kvanumofficial #kitchendesign
