Very happy to give you a sneak peek of ‘Design Bloggers at home’. A new book written by the super sweet Ellie Tennant, a London based interiors-journalist specializing in interiors and trend forecasting.
She was among the first in the UK to start blogging about interiors and launched the celebrated HomeShoppingSpy blog for Ideal Home in 2009.
It was a real pleasure to welcome her and photographer Rachel Whiting to my home sometime last year to make lots of pictures .
Reading the Press release I am honored that she chose me to be one of the 15 bloggers to be part of her so long awaited book. Thank you Ellie X
Ellie writes a weekly interiors blog, writes for Livingetc, Grand Designs, Homes & Antiques and Ideal Home, and she has worked for commercial clients including Cath Kidston. The book will be released on April 14th 2014 in the UK, and is available to pre-order from rylandpeters.com … really curious to see the result!
Press release by Ryland Peters:
The digital revolution is well underway. A global network of creative, interior design bloggers has emerged, publishing fresh and inspiring content online every day.
With diverse backgrounds and lifestyles, these individual bloggers combine to create a thriving online community of trend-setters and style gurus. The digital world brings with it design democracy; with the freedom to publish whatever they want, these bloggers offer a beguiling alternative to traditional media and
have become an important source of inspiration for the homes enthusiast.
In her first book, Design Bloggers at Home, interiors journalist and stylist Ellie Tennant meets the characters and creative forces behind leading design blogs, exploring their online realms, their beautiful homes and their clever styling ideas. Fifteen in-depth case studies cover a panorama of cutting-edge bloggers’ spaces – from a pared-back monochrome cabin in Scandinavia to a maximalist,colour-filled apartment in California – while the final chapter offers advice on setting up your own blog.
The result is a visual feast of inspiring yet achievable interiors, with plenty of ideas to use in your own home. Ellie’s hugely popular blog (www.ellietennant.com) is at the forefront of interior design, and she has exclusive access to the homes of those who set interiors trends.
