Swiss furniture manufacturer Vitra and Freunde von Freunden recently opened their first apartment in Berlin. The ‘FvF Apartment by Vitra’ offers a glimpse into the world of the Vitra living collage and visualizes Freunde von Freunden’s conceptualization of urban living. Under the direction of Freunde von Freunden, architect Etienne Descloux and interior architect Katrin Greiling, the 65sqm ‘Altbau’ apartment was rebuilt and designed to become a flexible apartment, adaptable to the diverse scenarios of everyday life.
How does a digitally oriented generation, for whom creativity, sustainability, and mobility are more important than status, live? Based on the common styles and experiences of Vitra and Freunde von Freunden, the FvF Apartment offers the necessary space to clarify this question. At the same time it offers a platform for innovative products from friends and fellow partners and will be available as an apartment, for events and for presentations.
The apartment contains Classics like the Eames Lounge Chair, contemporary furniture like the Slow Chair by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec and Finnish brand Artek, which was acquired by Vitra in 2013. Seems like the perfect place for a Blog tour party next time we’re in Berlin!
