Pedestals at Stockholm fair and exclusive work for Isabel Marant

Planning to visit more fairs a nasty flue kept me home for a day or ten and made me change plans, luckily there is Instagram and there are plenty of bloggers reporting from the different fairs. At the blog of Pella I found a great report of the Trend exhibition by Lotta Ageton and these white pedestals in the ‘living’ caught my eye.

For my own Trend show at imm I requested the pedestals by Roche BoboisI thought they would look amazing with a collection of ceramic but unfortunately they was none available and as it takes at least 3 months for the wood to get the beautiful look there was no time to order. I am totally in love with them and hope to visit the renovated Amsterdam store soon again as they might have them on show now after kind of re-discovering them during my last visit

Floris Wubben for Isabel Marant
Pedestals are frequently used at home and in stores and you can find them in different sizes and material from stone and marble to cast iron. Thinking about writing a blogpost about pedestals I received an email from Floris Wubbe, I wrote about his pressed ceramic almost three years ago, see here: Enlightened Design | Elle festival 2014 and love his new work.

Together with fashion brand Isabel Marant , a new ceramic collection has been created. These objects are specially designed for Isabel Marant and made with the extrusion technique by Floris Wubben. The objects are used as pedestals. Products as shoes and bags are presented in 12 shops around the world equipped with these pedestals. Don’t they look amazing! I would love to have a small group at home to replace the huge coffee table I am using now.
