Rick Owens Milan store & furniture book signing | Milan Design week 2017

Ever since meeting up with Rick Owens in Paris during Maison et Objet in 2012 I am following the fashion designer, and in particular his furniture line, and when in Milan I always try to catch up with the latest additions to the collection. This year I found the store closed but got invited to join the party later that day, it happened to be the day Rick himself was in town for a book signing at the store.

I was happy to lay my hands on a copy of his latest book and made some pictures in the store the day after when it was more quiet. I love how furniture and fashion is combined in the store. Previously the adjacent property was the place where to find the furniture line, have a look at this last years post Rick Owens furniture line and store visit  The first volume on the interiors and designs of Rick Owens, provides a unique insight into the creative lives of Rick Owens and his wife, Michele Lamy.

‘Rick Owens: Furniture’ book
‘Rick Owens: Furniture’ captures the place where Owens began designing furniture as a hobby, his iconic home and headquarters at the Palais Bourbon, a space populated with the furniture that Owens has been designing since 2006. Including antler chairs and petrified bark tables as well as workspaces and bedrooms, this volume provides a unique view of the lifestyle and body of interior design work of an artist who is constantly pushing the boundaries with his personal approach to craft.
