This last few days I visited Copenhagen for 3 Days of Design, the annual design event with over 70 brands opening their showrooms and different special events organised around the city. I had the pleasure to team up with STAY and call the Copenhagen Loft XL my home for three days. The area just across the water of the city centre and close to paper Island and the Airport looks a lot like the area where I live in Amsterdam and gave me the island feeling I love.
Stay Copenhagen is located in the A-House, which once was a hub for Copenhagen’s creative elite before being converted to the most recent serviced design apartment complex in CPH. Local creatives left their marks in the apartments with countless artistic decorations that were never removed from the walls and ceilings. Staying in this 150 m2 Manhattan style loft apartment with removable windows from floor to ceiling, which is almost twice as big as my home, was like a dream come true.
I guess you can imagine the raw but luxury all black and concrete apartment was right up my alley with it’s waterfront view, lounge area with 2 large sofas and a dining area. This is the kind of apartment where you can organize a dinner during your stay as the apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and a dining area seating up to 8 guests.
On the ground floor you find different restaurants, a bakery, and a supermarket is located on the corner. STAY offers 8 different spacious apartment types all designed by Danish HAY, guaranteeing you the beautiful Scandinavian minimalism, and on top of that there is a huge rooftop terrace with an amazing sunset view.
