The first time I saw the work of Michaël Verheyden was in 2012 while visiting Maison et Objet, I wrote a blogpost about the mix of materials of the likes of Michaël and Rick Owens.
When three years later being invited at the private home of Michaël and his wife, it was an iconic Rick Owens piece from a fashion show if I remember well, I spotted at his workroom that caught my eye. It is always a pleasure to discover similar interests and I remember to have a nice conversation with Michaël about it. You can see the blogpost about my visit here
When visiting Mobilia the other day to choose the material for a new lamp for my kitchen I fell in love with the huge piles of alabaster TLight holders in different sizes placed throughout the store. Beautiful objects in different colours and sizes. I chose a small brown one for my home which perfectly fit with the mostly black accessories I have already.
