Melisende Oasis in the old city of Acre, Israel

Architect Michal Matalon founded her company 15 years ago with the vision of doing things differently. “We specialize in private homes and restorations and have designed and built dozens of homes in different styles and budgets” says Michal.

Melisende started as an experiment of taking a very old Ottoman structure and turning it into a beautiful hotel that combines old and new with a minimalist touch while keeping the history alive. Since the first hotel 5 years ago, they have built 6 more units, with the last one in the old city of Acre. Including an exotic and lush garden, a heated Jacuzzi pool and 3 very luxurious units.
