An all new ceramic collection by Gubi

Earlier this week I showed you how GUBI took over Milan’s iconic Bagni Misteriosi to showcase their in and outdoor collections: Gubi at I bagni Misteriosi | Milan Design week 2023. And today I want to show you some more of Gubi’s Carmel collection I came across when going through the pressroom.

“The Carmel Collection introduces ceramics as a new material to GUBI. It is a well thought-through design that has endless applications both indoors and out. Inspired by OEO Studio’s travels on the Pacific Coast, the new Carmel Table Collection introduces not only a new material to GUBI – ceramic – it also gives a burst of vivid Californian color and energy to homes and gardens.

Easygoing and unconventional lifestyle

With particular reference to the carefree, easygoing and unconventional lifestyle of the famously bohemian and artistic resort town of Carmel-by the-Sea, OEO has developed a collection of coffee tables in different heights and sizes, full of color and personality. “Much of the inspiration for Carmel comes from living in California, spending weekends driving down the coastline, all the way from San Francisco down to Baja California.

I personally might not be so much into colour but the ones used in this collection I could certainly use on my patio together with my white couch. I collected some images to give you an impression of the collection.

Three sizes are available, with four vibrant, richly saturated color options. Each size has a character fully rounded shape, giving the table a pebble-like silhouette, a unique, crafted look, and a strong sense of individuality. The smallest coffee table comes in either Rock Red or Pacific Blue; the medium is in Clam White, and the largest and lowest in Midnight Black.
