This last weekend I was busy with a small makeover at home as I got an email from Emma Mattresses asking if I they could send me one of their products. Emma is an online store selling high quality mattresses and when I had a look at their website I discovered they sell just one type only!
It’s always a struggle to find the right mattress and I recently tried out a few, latex mattress, spring mattress, and made out of cold foam like my previous one. Being really bad at making the right decision after a five minute try out whether it is the right mattress or not, I thought this concept was made for me as there was nothing to decide on.
To be honest I buy very little online as I really love to see a product with my own eyes, but Emma has a 100 day test period and you can send it back at any point during that time, so much more comfortable than a 5 minute try out in an overcrowded store. I am totally convinced already after a few nights sleeping, the Emma mattress is neither too soft nor too hard and for the first time in years, i’ve been sleeping like a baby.
I was quite surprised when the postman delivered my mattress as I expected a huge box, but instead I received a relative small box. It almost looked like magic when packing out and cutting the plastic wrapped around the mattress with a small tool that was included to open the package safely. Slowly the mattress became a 25 cm high super comfortable bed with a hotel feel and look, I think the grey border looks really pretty.
A mini bedroom makeover
Getting a new mattress was a great opportunity for a small makeover as well. I placed two small metal shelves on the wall which I found at the vtwonen & design fair the other day and got myself a new bedspread. Instead of the obvious black and white and with the days getting shorter and autumn in mind, I mixed different materials and went for some soft greys and a beautiful green woollen blanket.
