Over the years a lot of metal furniture slipped into my home, it is a material I really love although it can feel a bit cold. My new kitchen in beautiful smoked oak and black countertop is one of my new favourite corners, the smoked oak brings warmth to the room, just like the walls painted with a chalky paint that almost feels like velvet. Next to the beautiful kitchen and soft walls I am still on the look for different materials and fabrics to bring even more warmth into the space.
When coming across the new Dutch online platform WoonQ, I had a look at the different chairs for the dining table in my kitchen. Thinking back of my visit to the amazing restaurant Sketch in London some months ago it were the velvet chairs that caught my interest. Velvet is a material that might seem a bit out of my comfort zone, but I find myself looking often at velvet benches and chairs for my kitchen table, preferably in a pale pink or faded green or beige. I am pretty sure it will feel as comfortable as the chairs at Sketch London.
WoonQ offers different types of dining room chairs and not only in velvet. Different easy to clean fabrics, (artificial) leather, metal and more are an option. From the easy to use drop down menu you can select not material, colour, height and many more options to find the right chair for your taste. At the outlet you will find the most affordable chairs.
I personally loved the velvet chairs with metal legs as they would perfectly fit the rest of my furniture by colour and material. I always love to use the same materials and colours throughout my home to connect the different spaces.
A blue, green or pink velvet chair would be an all new addition to my home and something I maybe should try out, what do you think? Velvet will certainly look beautiful with the brass kitchen handles! For now I need to finish floors and I will repaint the living. Before finding some new furniture. First it’s time to find some new light fixtures, blinds and curtains, the last ones really all had their best time.
