NEW ARTICLE on vosgesparis.com Some materials quie NEW ARTICLE on vosgesparis.com Some materials quietly return to architecture after being rediscovered by designers, I previously wrote several articles about Glass bricks, which many of us quickly ripped out of our bathrooms during a renovation. But last year at Isola Design I already spotted a newer version in ochre and blue, and during Dutch Design Week last year, a beautiful black and pink glass brick combined with black wood.

@tom_fereday has been experimenting with cast glass, while @ecooutdoor has long focused on natural materials used in architecture and landscape design. Together they explored how glass could be transformed into a structural element that allows light to pass through while maintaining the solidity of a wall.

The result is the Mano brick, a cast glass block produced individually by hand using recycled glass combined with natural materials such as quartz sand. Suitable for both interior and exterior use. 👉👉In the article you can read and see more of how the bricks are used in Eco Outdoor’s new Sydney studio. Photography @smartanson
Yesterday I was at the opening of @nocknock.art wh Yesterday I was at the opening of @nocknock.art where around 180 artists of all disciplines showed their work. I collected my favourites for you in my nocknock 26 highlight. You can still visit NOCKNOCK this weekend 7-8 March in Amsterdam

Dutch architect and designer @osiris will unveil his latest creations. His work shows a striking dialogue between reflection and texture.

His mirror wall sculptures, tables, and cabinets go beyond their polished surfaces. Reflections and layers shift between bold, almost rock ‘n roll statements and softer, more atmospheric moments. The works create subtle depth and movement, as if the composition could continue to unfold within the space.

The featured table and cabinet exemplify Osiris’ innovative approach to materiality, combining two-direction rolled high-gloss stainless steel legs with Japanese Shou Sugi Ban–style charred wood to create a dialogue between reflection and texture.
