If you read my blog for some years you can’t have missed the blogs about Rick Owens and Aesop, both favorite brands of mine. A collaboration between Rick Owens ánd Aesop is kind of a match in heaven. To be honest also probably that one time I could purchase an interiors item designed by Rick Owens.
Unfortunately I was too late to lay my hands on one of the Stoic candles Rick designed in collaboration with Aesop. I bought myself the beautiful travel kit instead, and keep my hopes up there will be another small collection of candles available in the future even though they are marked as limited edition.
Stoic fragrance at Aesop Utrechtsestraat Amsterdam
A sneak peek of the travel kit at Aesop – Utrechtsestraat in my hometown. The first and beautiful Aesop store read the article I wrote on the blog after the opening here: Aesop Utrechtsestraat
The unconventional spirit of this collaboration finds expression in the Stoic fragrance—an unapologetically piquant blend made to be enjoyed in a variety of ways. Let its notes of Black Pepper, Coriander Seed and Patchouli unfurl from Stoic Aromatique Candle, or apply Stoic Eau de Toilette directly to the skin or on its accompanying string of ceramic beads (both included in the Travel Kit) to scent self and space alike. Aesop & Rick Owens Travel Kit
A selection of Rick Owens’ favoured formulations, a suitably unconventional fragrance, and a wearable string of ceramic beads; housed in a recycled paper pulp case and clad in a cotton jersey wrap.
Stoic Aromatique Candle
Housed in a ceramic vessel and designed in collaboration with Rick Owens. Scented candle redolent of piquant Black Pepper and earthy Vetiver in a warm and woody base. The ceramic vessels of the Stoic Aromatique Candle are inspired by the sculptures of Constantin Brâncuși and Dadaist Hans Arp. Once the flame is lit, the scent of Stoic is released, imbuing the home with an aroma that speaks of benevolent strength. (text Aesop)
