NEW ARTICLE ONLINE at vosgesparis.com Back to Veni NEW ARTICLE ONLINE at vosgesparis.com Back to Venice where one of the exhibitions I wanted to see was by @jr a French artist and photographer known for his large scale installations and murals in public spaces around the world. In 2026 he paid tribute to Christo and Jeanne-Claude with ‘La Caverne du Pont Neuf’ a large scale installation around the Pont Neuf in Paris, the bridge they famously wrapped in fabric in 1985. His ‘Chronicles’ series often brings together portraits of ordinary people, exploring themes of identity, community and social issues, like the one I went to see at the hotel. Find the full story behind the mural in my article.

👉 The fact that his work was displayed at The @venicevenicehotel was a wonderful bonus. The Venice Venice Hotel has become one of the better known design hotels in Venice. Located along the Grand Canal the hotel is a perfect combination of historic Venetian architecture, contemporary art, design, fashion and interiors. Alongside the hotel and restaurant, the lobby houses two shops, while another separate @venicemart_official store is located by the courtyard entrance.

While waiting, we also had a look around the shops and the presentation of ceramic works by Antonio Bonaldi, and a drink on the terrace overlooking the Canal Grande afterwards.

OCTOBER ✨ Almost end of Summer and two weeks in my OCTOBER ✨ Almost end of Summer and two weeks in my favourite country Italia 🇮🇹 Another great edition of EDIT Napoli with a presstour through Chiaia 🌦️ Lots of new design at La Santissima and a day at the seaside ☀️ Next Venice with a friend enjoying Italian breakfast, endless Canal Grande trips, the city and discovering La Biennale Arte …. Full weekends all month with inbetween an edition of Cabinet Amsterdam A day at Dutch design week where my head was actually to full of impressions already to absurp any new ones. And last but certainly not least a day at Cologne for ORGATEC which was really good and fun…..I think I have seen enough design for the rest of the year unless something really good comes along 🙄🤓🤣😉🖤 @edit.napoli @labiennale @dutchdesignweek @cabinetamsterdam @orgatec

Design, designfair, vintage fair, workspaces, art, biennale di venezia, #Editcult #editnapoli #ddw2026
This week I visited ORGATEC for a day and experien This week I visited ORGATEC for a day and experienced how offices changed from office grey into warm, inviting and comfortable spaces. A few things that caught my eye.

👉Large organically curved sitting areas with space for meetings and a homy feeling spotted at @pedralispa @lapalmadesign @cor_sitzmoebel @muutodesign and @inclass_design who also brought the curves into their coloured desks.

👉The use of warm wood in the office as seen at @stringfurniture @januamoebel @freifrau_manufaktur and @artisanlovewood and the beautiful curved Balea bench by @akaba.design

👉Colourwise burgundy definitely dominated the fair and could be found literally everywhere. Together with all kinds of brown shades, deep green, cobalt blue and occasionally touches of light blue and lemon or butter yellow, these were the colours I saw most.

👉Room for privacy with different phone & meeting boots, from enclosed pods to to colourful, upholstered semi-private hubs at among other @kettal @sedus_official @palmberg_bueroeinrichtungen @pedralispa and @frameryacoustics and of course the private pavilions at the special exhibition on the Eames Pavilion System by @eamesoffice x @kettal

With the modular elements of @studio_molo privacy or temporary environments can be arranged without fixed walls. While brands like @slalom.acoustic and @buzzispace offered beautifully sustainable and aesthetically acoustic solutions.

I truly had a great day and will post everything I saw in stories, in case you want to look back at them I’ll save them to my ‘orgatec’ highlight.

PART 3 With IT NEVER SSST, Miet Warlop transforms PART 3 With IT NEVER SSST, Miet Warlop transforms the Belgian pavilion into a charged arena where language, music and collective disorientation collide. Plaster words circulate through the space: carried, passed along, dragged and broken. Musical characters sing and search for meaning within these unhinged fragments, which together form the lyrics and emotional score of this exhibition-performance. A group of musicians and dancers move through a turbulent atmosphere marked by a growing sense of doom. Through a series of absurd and physical rituals, they keep going, resisting resignation and stillness.

This vision of the world mirrors our own, wavering between despair and the urge to transcend it into something meaningful and more beautiful. Warlop’s high performing, energetic and creative characters grapple with the threat of overload, at times revealing their breaking points. They navigate a spiralling world in which words themselves lose stability and sing towards that vulnerable threshold in a language that is felt rather than understood. The pavilion is never fully silent, even when the performance ends. The words left behind resonate as a poetry of chaos. Scattered across tribunes that climb the walls, they stand frozen in time. Like remnants of a prayer wall or a karaoke machine from a vanished civilisation, they await new voices in pursuit of human connection. TXT Biennale official site
